Probably the best travel tripod.
Benro 35C+GX35 Ball Head
Why?
The height.
I’m 5’10” and my camera is eye level when fully extended. Perfect.
Solid as a rock. Thick legs.
It’s solid, sturdy and strong. No flexing. And it easily holds my Canon 5D Mark iv and 17-40L Lens
It’s light.
Brushed aluminium & carbon fibre. A very premium feel, solid but light enough to carry and no fatigue. With a high quality carry case too.
Compact.
Packs into overhead luggage to take on the plane. I went through several check-ins and baggage checks and it was fine.
Price.
About £350 for the kit – tripod, ball head and case.

My Nokia X30
This phone takes most of the photos you see on my website.
It has travelled everywhere with me!
Nokia X30 – An exceptional phone.
With a solid build and metal frame body, this has proved robust and reliable everywhere it has gone.
From the top of mountains to the monsoon season in Malaysia, this phone has performed flawlessly.
One of the main reasons I enjoy this camera so much is because the shots are accurate, realistic, and true to life.
Nokia, now HMD, designed and engineered a superb phone with the X30 with proven longevity.

The Fuji GFX Medium Format – A Powerhouse
This camera produces outstanding images, capturing incredible detail, even from objects and details in the farthest distance.
The balance of colour reproduction is accurately stunning.
From the darkest shadows to the brightest highlights in testing conditions, the sensor captures and delivers intact details to be enjoyed at close scrutiny.
The three dimensionality of images captured in certain light and focal length is captivating.
Finally, the price…
In line with today’s offerings of just about any camera, if you did not buy this at the price it was when it was available, and you were in the market, you missed out!
Compared to the price of just a point a shoot today, the Fuji GFX 50Sii was probably one of the best camera purchases you could have made before the price of everything went crazy.
Today, you are looking at £6000-7000 just to enter the realm of a top of the line, full frame camera and complimenting lens setup.
As for ‘Mirrorless’ – That is nothing new. We had that in the mobile phone back in 2002…
